You can get them on http://www.schockemoehle.net/shop/produc...BP&ref=8500 Only thing is once you've paid for Visa to convert to Euros etc it's coming up to about £35! I really fancy one. Any idea where I can get one in the UK or even better how to make one? Trick is never to use it too tight! It works brilliantly and is so simple to fit, my younger horse goes lovely in it just off the head collar so it's really quick if you only have time to squeeze in a short session. However! All the bits could easily be bought for under a tenner from B and Q as I discovered last week when having a mooch in the section that does velcro and stuff like that. You need about 5 metres of very soft, smooth rope, two clips and some means of securing it at the desired length or even just knot it. We lunge a lot of the horses at work in draw reins fitted like this - as long as they aren't too on their forehands in the first place, they tend to work very nicely in it as long as they are kept moving forwards with impulsion. Pessoa, John Whit traing aid, Kavalkade, side reins?? Always been taught to use side reins when lunging, but would like to try the Kavalkade... Pls don't jump on me, as agree that training takes time and patience and I'm not looking for a short cut, but...can't help but think that the kavalkade must have some benefits if used regularly by one of our best representatives...thanks! Can you tell me any more about it and where I can get one? KC, Glos Brini Wittek, who rides for Laura Bechtolsheimer, told H&H the Kavalkade HO Lunging Aid, based on a simple set of reins, was recommended to Laura by German equine physiotherapist Dr Buchholz. "It is made from a long loop of lightweight cord and reaches over the horse's back, just behind the withers, between the front legs and up to either the bit rings or the lunge cavesson," said Brini. "When attached to the cavesson, it avoids any one-sided pulling on the bit rings." The gadget's length is adjusted on a small leather pad that rests on the horse's back; it is designed to help develop throughness and outline without tying the horse down. "It is a great contraption for lungeing young horses, as they don't like things like side-reins that are fixed to the mouth," Laura added.
